How is Nation's Best Aesthetics & Wellness related to Nation's Best Family Health Care?
We are the sister practice of Nation's Best Family Health Care, whose offices are at 1514 W. 23rd Street and 408 W. 19th Street in Panama City. For family medicine, primary care, urgent care or occupational medicine, Nation's Best Family Health Care is reachable on (850) 481-1101, and its own website is nationsbesthealth.com.
Do I need a consultation before treatment?
For most new patients, yes. As our New Patients page explains, your first visit reviews your medical history and any previous treatments, discusses your goals, and ends with a potential treatment plan. If you decide to move forward, we schedule your treatment appointment.
What does treatment cost?
It depends on the treatment and on what you need, which your consultation establishes. Call (850) 343-4187 and we will talk you through pricing, memberships and payment plans.
How do I book?
Call the office on (850) 343-4187, or request an appointment online and your appointment will be confirmed by phone by a member of our staff. Please do not include personal health information in the form.
Is there anything I should do before an injectable appointment?
Tell us about your medical history, medications and supplements — some increase bruising. Avoid alcohol beforehand, and if you bruise easily, allow time before any event you care about. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or may be, say so before treatment: injectables are not offered.
Can I be treated on the day of my consultation?
Sometimes. It depends on the treatment and on what your consultation finds. Ask when you book and the team will tell you what to expect.
Do you offer treatments not listed on this site?
Possibly. Call (850) 343-4187 and ask — if it is something we offer, the team will tell you.
Do you treat men?
Yes. As the practice's Botox page puts it, Botox has helped many men and women, and treatments such as medical weight loss, IV therapy, Lipo B12 injections and waxing are for everyone.
Injectables & Wellness
Botox®
How long does Botox last?
It varies between people and depends on the area treated and the dose used. Most people find they return for maintenance a few times a year. Your provider will give you a realistic expectation for your own treatment at your consultation rather than a number off a chart.
Will I look frozen?
Not if the dosing is right. A frozen look comes from over-treatment, and it is entirely avoidable. We would rather start conservatively and add a little at your follow-up than overshoot, which is why that two-week review appointment exists.
Juvéderm® & Other Fillers
How long does filler last?
It depends on the product and the area. The page above lists the manufacturer's stated duration for each formulation, from up to 12 months through to up to 24 months for VOLUMA in the cheeks. Individual results vary with metabolism and the area treated.
Does it hurt?
Less than most people expect. Most JUVÉDERM products contain lidocaine, numbing cream can be applied first, and lips are usually numbed. Discomfort is brief.
Microneedling with Radio Frequency (RF)
How many sessions will I need?
It is planned as a course rather than a single treatment, and the number depends on what is being addressed and how your skin responds. Your provider will set out a plan at your consultation.
Is there downtime?
Some. Expect redness and a sunburned feeling for a day or two, and possibly mild swelling and pinpoint marks a little beyond that. Most people plan treatment for a time when they can be low-key for a couple of days.
IV Therapy
Which infusion should I choose?
Simply Hydrate is fluid for rehydration; the Myers’ Cocktail adds magnesium, calcium, vitamin C and B vitamins; After Party combines hydration, vitamin C and B-complex with one medication for headache or nausea. Your provider can help you decide.
Does it hurt?
Only the cannula going in, which is similar to a blood draw. The infusion itself is not painful.
ZO® Medical Grade Skin Care
Why not just buy skin care over the counter?
You can, and for some purposes it is fine. The difference is concentration and direction — medical-grade actives are stronger, which makes them more effective and also makes getting the instructions right more important.
Will it irritate my skin?
Some irritation when introducing actives is common and usually settles as your skin adjusts. This is why regimens are built up gradually. If a reaction is more than mild, contact us and we will adjust it.
Lipo B12 Injection
What is in a Lipo B12 injection?
Vitamin B12 together with three amino acids — methionine, inositol and choline, often shortened to MIC. The page above describes how the combination works.
How often would I have them?
The practice offers them weekly in the office to support a weight loss plan. Your provider will confirm the schedule that suits you.
Celluma Red Light Therapy
Is it safe for my eyes?
Eye protection is provided and should be worn for the whole session. Do not look directly at the panel.
Does it hurt or feel hot?
Neither. At most you may notice a faint warmth. The treatment does not work by heating the skin, so genuine heat is not expected — tell your provider if you feel any.
Medical Weight Loss & Nutrition
Is medical weight loss covered by insurance?
As the page above notes, most insurance plans include weight loss counseling and some medications may also be covered. Check with your insurance provider to confirm your own coverage.
What medications do you offer?
The practice lists Semaglutide and Adipex. Whether a medication suits you is decided at your consultation, based on your health history.
Styku Body Scanner
What does a Styku scan measure?
Measurements, body shape and body composition, captured in 3D. Your provider will walk you through the results.
Does it hurt, or involve radiation?
Neither. You stand still while the scanner captures your shape, and nothing touches you.
Aesthetics
Skincare Consultations
Do I need a consultation before booking a treatment?
It is the recommended first step, especially if you are new to professional skincare or unsure which treatment suits you. It makes sure the treatment you choose fits your skin and your goals.
What should I bring?
A list or photos of the products you currently use, and any questions you have. Let the team know about prescription skincare or medications.
Facials
Which facial is right for me?
Your aesthetician tailors the treatment to your skin on the day, so you do not need to choose steps in advance. If you have a specific concern, mention it when you book.
Can I wear makeup afterwards?
It is best to let your skin breathe for the rest of the day, but if you need to, ask your aesthetician which products are suitable.
Hydrafacials
Is a Hydrafacial suitable for my skin type?
The page above describes it as suitable for all skin types. Let the team know about any sensitivity or skin conditions so the treatment can be adjusted.
Is there downtime?
No. Results are immediate and you can return to your day straight away.
Lash Lift
How long does a lash lift last?
The page above notes that a lash lift typically lasts six to eight weeks, depending on your lash cycle.
Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?
Yes. Mascara becomes optional, but you can still wear it for a more dramatic effect. Your technician will tell you when to start after treatment.
Lash & Brow Tinting
How long does tinting last?
The page above notes that tinting can keep lashes and brows looking vibrant for up to four to six weeks.
How long does the appointment take?
The tinting process typically takes about 20 to 30 minutes, as described above.
Dermaplane
Will my hair grow back thicker?
No. Removing fine facial hair does not change how it grows back. It returns as the same soft hair.
Is there downtime?
No. The page above notes there is no downtime and results are seen immediately.
Microneedling with SkinPen
What can microneedling treat?
The page above lists acne scars, age spots, large pores, minor scars, stretch marks, burns and freckles.
Is there downtime?
Redness is the most common side effect, and patients may return to activities the next day. Dryness, stinging and tingling are also reported.
Microdermabrasion
Does microdermabrasion hurt?
No. Most people feel a light, slightly abrasive sensation. The intensity can be adjusted if you are sensitive.
Is it suitable for my skin type?
The page above describes microdermabrasion as suitable for all skin types. Tell your technician about any skin conditions so they can adjust the treatment.
Airbrush Spray Tanning
How long does an airbrush tan last?
The page above notes that a tan can last up to 10 days, depending on your skin and how you care for it.
Will I look orange?
The shade is customized to your natural skin tone, and a professional application keeps it natural-looking and even.
Full Body Waxing
How long does waxing last?
Because hair is removed from the follicle, the page above notes that regrowth typically takes three to six weeks.
Does waxing hurt?
There is a brief sting as the wax is removed, which most people find very manageable, and many find it becomes easier with regular appointments.
Chemical Peels
Will my skin visibly peel?
It depends on the strength of the peel. Some cause very little visible peeling, while stronger peels cause more. Your provider will explain what to expect from yours.
Are chemical peels safe for all skin?
The page above notes that chemical peels are safe to use on almost all skins, and that they vary in strength to suit different skin types and conditions. Your consultation determines which is right for you.
Body Scrubs
Is a body scrub suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes, with the right scrub. The practice offers options from gentle to invigorating, so let the team know about any sensitivity.
Should I shave before a body scrub?
It is best not to shave or wax immediately before, as freshly shaved skin can sting during exfoliation.
Body Wraps
What ingredients are used?
Natural ingredients such as seaweed, clay or herbal extracts, blended to suit your skin’s needs.
Will a body wrap help me lose weight?
A wrap is a skin and relaxation treatment. Many clients notice their skin feels tighter and more toned afterwards. If weight loss is your goal, ask about the practice’s medical weight loss programs.
